After living through a dumpster fire of a Valentine’s Day, Emilie Hornby escapes to her grandmother’s house for some comfort and a consolation pint of Ben & Jerry’s. She passes out on the couch, but when she wakes up, she’s back home in her own bed—and it’s Valentine’s Day all over again. And the next day? Another nightmare V-Day. Emilie is stuck in some sort of time loop nightmare that she can’t wake up from as she re-watches her boyfriend, Josh, cheat on her day after day. In addition to Josh’s recurring infidelity, Emilie can’t get away from the enigmatic Nick, who she keeps running into—sometimes literally—in unfortunate ways. How many days can one girl passively watch her life go up in flames? And when something good starts to come out of these terrible days, what happens when the universe stops doling out do-overs? REVIEW

First off very well written. And well edited. I'm kind of picky about editing and spelling because that can make a good story either great or unreadable. This may have some spoilers. Emilie is the only daughter of divorced parents sharing custody. Although she has done everything in her power to make them happy and proud the end result is that she has become invisible to them as a person. It takes her losing pretty much everything on Valentine's Day for her to finally start living how she wants to live and speaking up for herself. With the same disasters happening over and over again as Valentine's Day repeats, she finally snaps and has an epiphany - why is she STILL trying to make things "right" and make everyone else happy at the cost of her own happiness when it's all going to happen again tomorrow? Just live like there won't be any consequences because it will all be erased, right? And this changes everything. All the characters were well drawn and imperfect in a perfectly human way. Each of them were relatable and likable even the ones you kinda want to hate. I loved the growth that Emilie had over the course of her repeated days. I almost wanted to hear Josh and Nick's side of the story especially at the end. Maybe it's better in my imagination.
